Who can join the club?

As a sport club of the Eötvös Loránd University we offer our trainings mainly to the students and workers of the University, however, anyone else is warmly welcomed to our club. Since we have four teams, which take part in different leagues, one of out important goal is to find and train new players for competition. Regarding out capacity we are waiting players who have played table tennis regularly or played in a team. For beginners, the table tennis sport courses of the University are recommended. Since our club does not employ a trainer, we cannot provide progress for young talents.

Where and when are the trainings?

ELTE-BEAC Mérnök Street Sport Complex,

parquet room (first floor) Situated 350 m from Etele út / Fehérvári út tram stop, 600 m fom Bikás park metro station. Bicycle shed has not been built yet, however, one can ask the reception where to lock the bike in the area of the sport complex.

What is the fee of the membership?

The fee is 4500 HUF for the students of the Eötvös Loránd University, for the rest 6000 HUF monthly.

How can one pay the fee?

Since our budget is tight, please respect the following. The fee ought to be payed in one sum per semester not later than the 15th of the first month of the semester (September, February). What is the order of the trainings?

The trainings are unbound. Besides the free play, experienced players can show and practice different techniques and drills with pleasure. One can arrive and leave at any time, but please leave the room not later than out reservation ends. There are changing rooms and showers in the facility. We can set six tables in the room.

What to pay attention during the trainings?

Set the tables with care to avoid injury and damage of the tables. Ask for help if you need!
Set the nets properly, they must be high and tight enough.
Be in rotation when there are more people than our table capacity, After a while give your place to one who is waiting! To improve your skills try to train with different opponents, but you should not pick the strongest player at the first go.
When the ball flew away, you had better stop the rally at the neighbouring table. If you observe a ball being in your playing area, give it back as soon as you can.
It is worth playing with good racket. With an old overuser, slippery rubber or an overweight blade it is impossible to practise the proper movement and skills. For help, ask the experienced players.
Do not wear white T-shirt in the training! Always change to training shoes!

I would like to play in the championship. What should I do and expect?

To be a registered player of the championship one must fill out some simple forms. Each of our teams has more player than it is necessarry in a matchday. The leader of the team chooses the players of a match according to their occupancy and the level of the opponent.
